Helenes Love: Cayla Yasukochi
Oh, where do I even begin with my lovely Nabisco Teddy Graham?
I suppose with one of the many qualities that set this real-life angel apart from the rest of us mere mortals: her incredible empathy. In a world that’s constantly bombarding us with notifications, emails, and reminders to do, it gets a little harder to slow down, listen, and understand. Cayla, on the other hand, has mastered all of these things.
She’s the kind of person who may not always know exactly what you’re going through, but can immediately sense when something’s amiss. I can't even tell you how many times Cayla has pulled me aside to just talk about life. When she asks: “How are you?” she truly wants to know, and she’s ready to listen and empathize.
Helenes is filled to the brim with selfless, amazing women, but Cayla is truly a gem unlike any other because of her capacity to care and her ability to bring light and laughter to any situation by simply being herself. She has the best sense of humor, and she always manages to brighten my day with her quality puns and clever quips.
Beyond her sunny attitude, Cayla is also one of the most talented artists I have ever seen. From cute patches to stunning drawings to adorable pouches to punny greeting cards, this girl truly does it all, yet she's so humble about it. Not only is she a beautiful person, but she also shares this beauty and spreads it to the rest of the world through her art.
But Cayla does so much more than bring a smile to my face with her creativity and humor; she genuinely inspires me to be a better person. Her sunny attitude, passion for life, and all-around wonderfulness give me hope about the innate goodness in others. Her ability to love unconditionally encourages me to pay it forward and treat others with the same unselfish kindness with which she treats me. Her tendency to see the beauty in things that are oftentimes taken for granted reminds me to stop and recognize what is great about my own life.
Simply put, there is no one like Cayla Yasukochi in this world, and I consider myself infinitely lucky to have crossed paths with a bona fide star like her.
